一般的な仕様には、10 mmから150 mmの直径が含まれ、クロム含有量は通常10％から30％の範囲です（ZQCR10、ZQCR17、ZQCR28）。化学組成には、一般に、C（2.0〜3.5％）、Cr（10〜30％）、およびSi、Mn、P、S、Moなどの微量の要素が含まれます。
製造には、制御された鋳造温度（1350〜1420°C）、適切なゲーティングとライザーの設計（品質を確保し、欠陥を避けるため）、および最適な硬度（≥HRC50）と靭性を実現するための熱処理プロセス（例、正規化および低温抑制）が含まれます。
